On the hottest day of the year, Salisbury Rotary & Business in the Community Group raised a total of £835 from their Salisbury Big Bake Sale in the Old George Mall on Friday 26th May.
In aid of Parkinson’s Salisbury and Exeter House School, the event was a huge success and the organisers would like to thank all those who supported the event – in particular the businesses who donated; Salisbury BID, Blue Bee Solutions, Bassets Sales & Lettings, Reeve the Baker, Personnel Placements, Your Mortgage Experts, Allum & Sidaway, Hendersons and Salisbury Signs.
Funds raised for Parkinson’s will be put towards their ‘Dance for Parkinson’s’ initiative which provides those living with the disease an opportunity to help with mobility symptoms in a fun environment. Exeter House School will be putting their funds towards a residential trip to Wales for post 16 students with learning difficulties.
The cakes left over from the bake sale were donated to Alabaré for the homeless in Salisbury.
