PETER TAKES THE CHAIR AT SALISBURY ROTARY CLUB

The Rotary Club of Salisbury is pleased to announce Peter Mitchell as its new President, succeeding Michael Bell, from 1 July 2024.

The ‘Handover’ ceremony, at the White Hart Hotel, in the presence of a large number of Rotarians and guests, including The Right Worshipful the Mayor of the City of Salisbury, Councillor Sven Hocking accompanied by his wife The Lady Mayoress, Marcia Hocking; immediate Past Mayor Atiqul Hoque; Honorary Members Dr Beth Robertson and Colin Webber; and Jo Addai, who joined the Club as a member that evening.

Peter, who joined Salisbury Rotary Club in 2019, is a retired solicitor, lives in the City and is an active member of Salisbury’s Studio Theatre.

In his acceptance speech, Peter commented:-

‘Rotary is about making new friends, engaging socially and working on a variety of community related projects and activities. Our members have a common purpose – to make a difference to people’s lives and have some fun at the same time. I very much believe that ‘the more you put into something, the more you get out of it’.

‘It was a delight to welcome Joe into Salisbury Rotary Club tonight, and there can be no doubt that continued membership recruitment will be a priority in the forthcoming Rotary Year. Come and join us to support your community – all we ask is that you give us your time, expertise and commitment when and where you can.’
