Clarendon Marathon 2016 Raises Over £10,000

A joint initiative between the Rotary Clubs of Salisbury and Winchester, the annual Clarendon Marathon took place in October 2016. 1106 runners booked onto run in the event, with 935 finishing the course; an increase from 2015.

A grant total of £10,436 was raised and will be donated directly to charities and non-profit making organisations. In addition, the Clarendon Marathon provides an opportunity for individual participants to raise money for their chosen charities. Although we do not have a definitive figure, it is thought that some £20,000 was raised in this way, with one particular charity alone benefiting by over £10,000. All in all, this means that the event probably produced well over £30,000 for good causes.

Thank you to everyone who supported the 2016 Clarendon Marathon. Looking forward, 203 bookings have already been taken for the 2017 Clarendon Marathon which is on Sunday 1st October 2017.
