SALISBURY ROTARY INSTALLS LIFE SAVING DEFIBRILLATOR

Salisbury Rotary Club was delighted to fund the installation of a life saving heart defibrillator at the One-Stop shop in Bishopdown, Barrington Road, Salisbury.

Defibrillators are used as a treatment for life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias, specifically ventricular fibrillation and non-perfusing ventricular tachycardia .

The defibrillator delivers a dose of electric current (often called a counter-shock) to the heart.

Peter Mitchell, President of Salisbury Rotary Club, said: ‘It is vital that our communities have access to these life-savers. With help from Spencer Mulholland, we are now looking at other opportunities to do likewise installations where needed in our community.’
